Daniel Falodun aka Mr. Fashinisto is a photographer and an all round creative participant based in London. He is a member of the LALDN crew and has shot their latest editorials ‘Trongeisha’ and ‘Back to the Future’.
I talked to my friend Ade Udoma, creative director at LALDN and Essence London, about Daniel Falodun:
“I would describe him as youthful yet cultured, with a continuously developing eye for detail. His photography mirrors his on going journey through the world of creativity as he expands his concepts with each shoot.”
- Ade Udoma
I recently caught up with Daniel and he told me a little something about his work:
Do you remember the moment when you realised that photography is just something you had to get into?
Yes i do. I used to do this odd modelling job here and there during uni. And I eventually summed up the courage during a shoot to engage in a rather captivating conversation about the art of photography with the photographer who than became my mentor.
How would you describe your own work?
I think I will describe my work as: “My photography personifies me as a person, its hows i express my thought and ideals. In a way it’s my creative language.”
What’s your involvement with LALDN?
I’m head of photography and co creative director parternered with Ade.
What are your influences?
My influence is art and art to me comes in any shape or form.
Are there any photographers you look up to?
Rankin, Nick Knight, Nadav Kandar and Bernard Miller.
